Denise Kiser, Owner/Artistic Director
Denise Kiser, Owner/Artistic Director of The
Dance Company, began her training at the young age of 8 with
Pritchett-Pippin Studios in Americus, Georgia under the direction of
Judy Dabbs, respectively. She is classically trained in ballet, pointe,
tap and jazz. Denise performed for 10 years under Judy Dabbs before
joining The Cross Dance Company-Americus to begin her career as a dance
instructor. Denise is a graduate of Brenau University, where she
received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a focus on Dance Pedagogy
(teaching dance).
Denise’s professional credits include: The Dance
Company-Americus, Cumming Dance Academy - Cumming, Gerlock Dance
Studio, Pritchett-Pippin Studios. She also enjoys doing guest
choreography work with Cumming Dance Academy,choreographing and
consulting for pageant contestants, choreography for theatrical
projects, community events, church projects and much more.
A passion for teaching has brought Denise to use
her talents throughout her life and make a career out of teaching the
magic of dance to students from all over. Denise is known for her
outstanding gift of teaching all ages - and enjoying it!
Shortly after marrying husband, Jimmy Kiser, they
relocated back to Gainesville in 2002 where she opened what is now The
Dance Company.
Denise is also the mother of two daughters. She
believes being a mother helps her to associate better with not only the
students but parents as well.

Dara J. Dewald, Dance Instructor
Dara was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dara has been fortunate to have been influenced and taught by some of
Atlanta’s finest. As a child, she began her training with Coby
Richardson at the Druid Hills Dance Theatre. She then attended North
Atlanta School of Performing Arts where she specialized in Dance and
then continued her studies at Brenau University with a Dance Major.
During these years, her traveling with the Dance Olympus Tour, studying
at the Tremaine-Sleight Studios in Los Angeles and attending the
Governor’s Honor program greatly broadened her experience as well as her
training in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical and hip-hop. Some of
Dara’s professional credits include: Gary Harrison Dance Company for
five years; several industrial shows including Reebok, Russell
Athletics, IBM, music videos for Cameo and 911; and international tour
as a co-choreographer and dancer for James Brown, the Godfather of Soul
Tour for six years. Experiencing these fortunate opportunities through
dance, Dara has set her goals to educate and inspire the youth of today
through encouragement and the proper instruction in dance.

Averie Buchanan, Dance Instructor
Averie Buchanan started dancing at age 3 in
Virginia. She moved to Georgia and continued her training at Mountain
Classic Dance under the direction on Anne Puttnam. Later, she joined
Studio 1 Performing Arts’ company and competition team. She also,
continued working on her technique in ballet, jazz, lyrical, and
hip-hop. Throughout the years Averie has attended many competitions,
performances, and conventions. She has preformed in Disney World and in
the Bahamas. She has also preformed on the Big Red Boat and on Carnival
Cruse ships. Averie graduated from North Georgia College and State
University with a degree in early childhood education and special
education. At North Georgia, she was on the dance team for 3 years.
Averie has been teaching dance in Dawsonville and Gainesville for 5
years and she is very excited about teaching at The Dance Company; where
she can share her love of dance with others.

Courtney Bromwich, Dance Instructor
Currently a resident of Gainesville, Georgia,
Courtney has been a respected dancer, choreographer, and teacher in the
metro-Atlanta area for nearly 15 years. She began her dance
training in Marietta, GA with the Dance Stop Company. During that
time, she had the opportunity to take tap and jazz master classes from
such well known instructors as Gus Giordano, Debra Bray, and Jason
Weiss. After graduating high school, she continued her dance
education by performing with various companies and attending many
area dance festivals and summer dance programs.
In 2007, Courtney was invited to join the faculty
of the up and coming dance program at Kennesaw State
University. As a guest tap teacher, she was surprised by
the growth and intensity of the program. Having already graduated
with a B.A. in Business Management, Courtney decided to return to KSU
to further her dance education. During her studies, she had the
opportunity to perform and stage manage with the KSU Dance Company
in addition to working with many renowned artists. In May
2010, Courtney obtained her B.A. in Dance and became the first
official graduate of the program.
Focusing her talents in the areas of Jazz, Tap,
Lyrical, Modern, and Hip Hop, Courtney has choreographed many award
winning pieces. Her choreography and dancers are always
recognized for their pronounced musicality, charismatic performance
quality, and audience appeal. Courtney enjoys teaching aspiring
dancers of all ages and is thrilled to be joining the faculty at
The Dance Company.

Pytron Parker, Hip Hop
Pytron Parker is a Georgia native currently
attending Brenau University as a theater major with a minor in dance.
She performed in the Gainesville Theatre Alliance production of Singin’
in the Rain and GTA’s Discovery Series show, For Colored Girls. Pytron
is very passionate about dance, and her enthusiasm and love for her
students shows in her classes. Pytron has been teaching for over 6
years, and has trained in jazz, ballet, modern, musical theatre,
contemporary, and hip hop. Pytron is an award-winning and
crowed-pleasing choreographer. Her dance teams, solo, and duet routines
have won top overall awards at both regional and national competitions. A
highlight in her young career was having her choreography chosen to be
performed at a half-time show for the WNBA in 2009. Pytron has been to
multiple dance conventions, learning from Mia Michaels, Laurie Ann
Gibson, Wade Robson and Dave Scott, just to name a few.
She has judged a number of talent events, and
performed as an event performer and background dancer for upcoming
recording artists. Pytron’s hip-hop class (recreational and company
ensemble) is high energy, creative, and tons of fun. She has
choreographed and also danced for her college team, Tau Sigma Dance
Fraternity. Pytron defines her teaching as, “Empowering students and
demonstrating the fundamentals of dance while providing structure in a
fun atmosphere”. She also believes “that everyone can dance, if you
have the right teacher.”
